On the occasion of RT5, we are pleased to offer spouses or accompanying persons the following tours.
(Batu Caves, Batik Factory and Royal Selangor Pewter) Journey into the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur and discover the amazing sights of nature and traditions. Visit the Royal Selangor Pewter factor and you will be shown the different processes, such as casting, filling, polishing, soldering, hammering and engraving of this world famous product. A tour of the Batik Factory can be a great learning experience to see how local batik is designed and printed. Finally the famous Batu Caves, with its 272-steps. These limestone caves are a popular tourist attraction especially during the annual Thaipusam Festival. The festival is a spectacular affair which attracts thousands of devotees and spectators.
Putrajaya, the administrative center of Malaysia, is elegantly designed with a European feel. Here, you get to enjoy an ultra-modern city where the government buildings are a unique blend of modern architecture with Islamic art. Commercial, governmental and residential areas have been divided into precincts that blend into each other cohesively. A waterway cuts through the city, flowing into a large lake. The concrete landscape is balanced with lots of parks, greenery and wetlands.
Malacca is located on the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia facing the Straits of Malacca, about 147 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur. A trip to Malacca is like travelling through history. As visitors walk the narrow streets, visit old temples, mosques and medieval fortresses, or linger among ancient ruins and epitaphs, Malacca's history will definitely captivate and enchant.
Kuala Gandah Elephant Conservation Centre was established in 1989 by the Department of Wildlife and National Parks. Over the past 25 yrs the centre has helped prevent the further declined of the elephant population by relocating more than 300 wild elephants. Tour includes elephant ride, elephant feeding and for those who are brave, we suggest you bring a change of clothes and towel if you wish to participate in water activities such as swimming and bathing the elephants in the river.
